A little about me...
I've been a working photographer for almost 15 years, before that film photography was a hobby of mine growing up and taking classes. After high school I got a partial scholarship to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood, CA. There I studied musical theatre, film and dance. I worked as performer and in 2007 I joined the Screen Actor's Guild. After a few years of working in front of the camera, I realized how much I missed creating my own art, behind the camera. I went back to college in LA, and made the switch from film to digital photography. I learned history, natural light, and studio lighting, which would change my life. I thoroughly enjoyed school, and loved all my classes and working professional teachers. I won first in my school's portrait contest, and they used my photo to advertise for the exhibition. I started working immediately out of school, primarily as a portrait, event and product photographer. I created a cozy home studio at our little ranch property in the valley. Having a creative background in the performing arts, I found myself gravitating toward bringing my own concepts to life, and falling into the niche of conceptual self-portraits. I really enjoy being on both sides of the camera and having complete creative control. I enjoy sharing behind the scenes and giving tips on how to take self-portraits on social media.
After years of mostly doing studio work, I've been bit by the travel bug and have decided to take my show on the road. I'll be traveling full-time all around North America in a 1950's style travel trailer with my husband and two dogs. It has always been my dream to travel and work remotely. I'll be documenting our adventures, continuing conceptual self-portraits, and exploring my passion for wildlife and macro.  I'll also be working on some photojournalism projects with my husband who is a writer and has a passion for interviewing interesting people. Creating an online print shop and publishing a photo book are among some of my goals while traveling.
I'm currently seeking work as a brand model/photographer in one and product photography.
Please take a look at my portfolios in both my personal art and professional work.
Thank you for taking the time to be here!
